Mother of slain actress settles suit with Spector

Phil Spector seems to be a real nutcase. I pity the entertainers who were under contract with him/ worked with him many years ago. My God.

I think her mother should be, and has every right to be compensated for the loss of her beautiful daughter at the hands of that degenerate. No amount of money can compensate for the pain and suffering people go through when losing a loved one. Especially when they have suffered a sudden and violent death.My sister was a murder victim at the age of eighteen and the pain never ever goes away.Condolences to her mother , my sympathies and heart go out to her.

He got what he deserved--I feel she probably freaked out when he was playing big man with a gun and grabbed it and it went off!! I blame a lot of those rock stars back when he would put a gun in their face---one of them should have shoved it up his #$%$ and taught him some manners----hope he rots in jail

Look up any interview with Ronnie Spector about her time will Phil....He's a complete idiot...He sold a car to his driver at the time which turned out to be one of 7 Cobra Daytona Coupes...25 years later he says he never sold the car and wants it back...Of course that was after he found out it was worth a fortune...Phil Spector is exactly where he needs to be....In jain and suffering...

Sometime after the Clarkson killing, stories surfaced about Spector, he was a wacko who went crazy waving pistols around in front of and AT people(Ramones)
No doubt he pulled the trigger on Clarkson.

I'm glad the mother got something for her pain and suffering. Especially since his defense team strategy was to claim suicide as the cause of death on both trials. Spector, and each and every lawyer who defended him are vile repulsive #$%$ of the earth. Too bad this wimp of a nutcase will not actually die in prison as he deserves. He'll walk free one day due to his fame and fortune in the music industry.

My beautifull g.daughter was killed by daycare woman and got off "Scott free". Just makes you real sick and no, it never goes away. I'm glad the case was won even if it did take forever.

I'm glad she won her case against him. Spector will always be rich. Even when, or if he comes out of prison he'll still be a very wealthy nut case.

I am glad that LANA's mother has been compensated for the loss of her daughter but I know that there isn't enough money in the world that could ever make up for losing my child.

Obviously many that commented have no grasp of the real world.When a person dies, there is a funeral that must be paid for the deceased bills have to be paid, their residence must be emptied and property disposed of,in some cases a will probated by an attorney and all those things cost money.I am glad she finally was paid.Sad enough she lost her child(she was her child no matter her age) but to be stuck with all the financial responsibilities was cruel.Bet Spector spent more on attorneys for his 2 trials than he paid in this civil suit.

I'm confounded by people who assume the lawsuit brought about by the murder of Donna Clarkson's daughter Lana was brought about by greed.

I don't think it's greed at all, it's further punishment to take what can be taken from Spector and the only thing that probably mattered more to him than his freedom, is his money. Take it all away from him, he deserves nothing for his crime, he doesn't deserve to spend another day, for the rest of his life, in comfort. Especially the kind of money "comfort" can afford.

Although we don't know the amount of the settlement, Donna Clarkson was satisfied. If she was, then I am too. It's too bad she couldn't see him imprisoned for the rest of his sorry life.
